QUALITY TECHNICIAN

GOAL

This full-time position will play a key role within the Quality Team to assure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.  Skills with a variety of measuring tools, basic mathematics and writing skills, excellent attention to detail, and fluency with MS Word and Excel are vital for consideration.

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

  1. Take on other tasks as assigned, ensuring the most efficient use of time.

  2. Performs In-Process Inspection of fabrication projects.

  3. Gains familiarity with Non Destructive Testing methods and supplies – leading to inspection expertise

  4. Gains familiarity with welding processes – leading to inspection expertise.

  5. Assists the Quality Manager with implementing and maintaining company quality assurance initiatives.

  6. Assists managing and updating Quality and inspection records with accuracy and reliability.

  7. Manages calibration and calibration records of test and inspection equipment with accuracy and reliability.

  8. Assists managing fabrication records – WPS, PQR, welder continuity logs, etc.

  9. Identifies quality issues and assists in the enforcement of Quality processes and procedures.

  10.  Assists in worker training activities.

  11.  Participates in all safety meetings.

  • Attendance and Punctuality:

    • Standard working hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. may vary at times in relation to work load.

    • Arrives to work 10-15 minutes prior to the start of scheduled shift.

    • Punctual when attending meetings.

  • Attendance & Punctuality:

    • Standard working hours are from 7:00am to 3:00pm or as required to accomplish project goals and
      expectations.

    • Ensure work responsibilities are covered when out of office.

    • Arrives at meetings and appointments on time.

    • Pursues training and development opportunities.
